Narrative Coffee Stand

Narrative intended to create labels for their bottled drink series featuring a playful character, to reflect their approach to make coffee appreciation open and fun.

About Project

I created a series charting our protagonist, loosely based on the cafe's cofounder, as he navigates a 'chill' home life with a bottle of chilled takeaway drink.

It has a distinct Singaporean 'relatableness'; who can deny not having 'nua-ed' on the floor with a bolster propping their head, or zoned out in front of a standing fan due to extreme heat and boredom?

On top of character design, I worked with Narrative on promotional materials such as Instagram posts, menu design, safe distancing stickers, takeaway drink stickers and hang cards, which are done in a minimalistic style to complement the cafe's Scandinavian design. It was a fruitful experience to see my illustrations come to life in the cafe.
