Brief
To design a key visual, one fiction genre poster, one non-fiction genre poster for NLB's Chinese reading programme.​
To explore more vibrant colour palettes and illustration styles that appeal to students, to encourage them to pick up Chinese books.
About Project
This project is called 给我一本书的时间 which can be loosely interpreted into English as "one book at a time", the posters contain a series of 8 book each, that span across several genres. The key visual uses an elegant Songti as a base, with accompanying details like the headphones and book to suggest the availability of both physical and digital/audio books.

After exploring several illustration options, we decided upon this handdrawn, dreamy style. Each genre is also accompanied by a set of representative characters, to make them more recognisable to readers. Hopefully these two designs help make picking up a new book more enticing!
